Dr. Eric Sanderson presented the Mannahatta Project to audiences of TED Talks last October. He is with the Wildlife Conservation Society and is the director of the Mannahatta Project, a decade-long project involving technology and ecology. It answers the question: what did Manhattan Island in New York City look like 400 years ago before Henry Hudson came to this piece of land that eventually became New York City?
